Women in Business Network CDA Leadership
President
The President, or Chair, of Women in Business leads all Monthly Meetings, Membership Meetings, and Leadership Meetings. She also coordinates between all the committees. Her main function is to assist all members to get the most out of all the many opportunities Women In Business has to offer. When assistance is required the Co-Chair is there to help.
Secretary
The Secretary and Co-Secretary take minutes at the Leadership and Membership Meetings. They keep notes on all topics discussed and decisions made. They are responsible for strengthening communication among all the Women in Business Members. Without them, we wouldn't have a clue what was said and done.
Treasurer
Women In Business is a Networking Group. Occasionally we receive donations and retain raffle monies. When that occurs, the Treasurer and Co-Treasurer assure the funds are dispersed to the proper committees.
20/20 Committee
20/20 is hosted by a Member at her business or location of choice. This is an opportunity for 20 members to gather on or around the 20th of the Month to network, connect and get to know one another in a smaller, less "business like" setting. To host a 20/20, or inquire about upcoming 20/20 events, please the Chair or Co-Chair.
Care Committee
The Care Committee provides cards, gifts and/or flowers to members celebrating a birthday, new baby, marriage, and such, as well as to members who are mourning a loss in the family or recovering from a surgery, illness, hospital stay, etc. Funds for this outreach are supported by our monthly raffle including the traveling purse and a the giveaway donated by a member each month. If you know of someone navigating difficulties, or if you are interested in donating birthday gifts or a giveaway for the raffle, please contact the Chair or Co-Chair.
Commercial Committee
To sign up for either a "Commercial" presentation including a display table or a "silent table," contact the Chair or Co-Chair of the Commercial Committee. Both the commercial or the silent table are an opportunity to showcase your business. Every member should take advantage of these promotional opportunities. You must be a member for at least six (6) months to be eligible for a commercial but silent tables are available immediately upon becoming a member.
Directory Committee
We publish a directory twice a year: Once in Spring and again in Fall. It features all the latest members and information so you will always have it at your fingertips. The Directory Committee updates existing member's information and obtains contact information from new members for our semi-annual directory. Teri is involved with the layout and production of the directory as well chairing the committee.
Meet And Mingle Committee
Meet and Mingle gives each member the opportunity to network with other members on a one-on-one basis, getting to know people on a personal level as well as a professional level. Each month, members can choose to participate by submitting a business card. They are then paired with another member. It is up to the two to decide where and when to mingle, as well as whether guests will be joining the meeting.
Membership Committee
The Membership Committee is responsible for guest and lunch reservations, accepting and processing membership applications, tracking attendance at the general membership meeting, maintaining the official club roster, maintaining a waiting list for filled categories, distributing email communications to the club membership and organizing and hosting new member luncheons.
Philanthropy Committee
Women in Business has a heart to reach out and help other women in the community. The Chair and Co-Chair spends many hours coordinating these opportunities so we can help on a monthly bases. They are a team we are proud of. Please contact one of them to inquire about any current outreach we are doing. Or, if there is a need you are aware of that touches your heart, don't hesitate to contact this committee.
Website Committee
The Website Committee works closely with the Membership Committee, Directory Committee, and our web developer to ensure our website is current, on a monthly basis. Every member in WIB is listed on this website; organized by Category, Member Name and/or Business Name. Melissa Cheney also assists with much of the design work on our website. Anyone needing assistance with their ad, flyer or contact info, please contact the Chair or Co-Chair.
Welcome Committee
On your first meeting at Women In Business, our Welcome Committee greets you at the guest table and connects you with another member for a tour of the marketplace. We'll answer any questions you have and help show you the ropes. Look for one of these friendly faces for guidance... Welcome to the Coeur d'Alene Women in Business Network!
