This organization enables our members to learn proven marketing techniques through practice and experience. In addition, Women In Business allows and encourages the members to work with a team of women where personal relationships build and flourish.
Women In Business creates an environment rich in mutual support, mutual goals, with the sense of mutual business development.

How This Membership-Based Template Works:
This template at webthingie.com is a Wordpress template. The reasons for using Wordpress are because the framework is portable and easily extendable.
Home Page -
The content is administered by the Webmaster. This could be changed to backend administration, however, as presented here, the content involves items that change seldom to never: a collective image, description of the group and the mission statement.
You will notice on the bottom of the right column is a member ad. This ad changes every time the page is refreshed.
About Page -
This page contains content about the group, an image of the leadership and a contact form with captcha. This page is fully administered as a page in the Wordpress CMS backend.
Once again, in the right sidebar on this page and most pages, there is a random member ad that changes with every page refresh.
Meetings Page -
This page lists meeting dates and times and, like the About Page, is fully administered as a page in the Wordpress CMS backend.
Member List Page -
This page is a self-generating list of members, companies and categories and is administered in the Wordpress Dashboard by adding and updating users (members). This template is set up so the members can update their own profile with the exception of images and flyers (pdf), without viewing or disturbing any other part of the backend administration.
The Member List Page may be organized by the viewer according to member, company or category. Clicking on the member image or member name will take the viewer to the individual member's page.
Member Page -
In addition to the usual Wordpress user info, we have increased the fields to include information on the company they represent and their position at the company, including company phone and member phone, company category, company description (bio and selling points) and website link. This could be expanded to meet other group criteria.
This page is accessible via links from the various places members are displayed on the website. This is an individual, or member page, for each member. On this template, the member page is displayed with the member image, headings announcing the member, the company and their relationship to the company.
Next is the company ad in a 400x200px jpg format. Below that is a box with company information; this may be a bio with selling points and contact information - and if there is a flyer, this will be announced with a link. Flyers are uploaded in the backend administration via a plugin in the dashboard menu.
Below the company information is another box with the member info and may include a bio and contact info.
Member Ads Page -
This is a listing page with all the member ads (with members and categories) - and awards - and may be organized by the viewer according to member, company or category. This page is self-generating for all members who have company ads on file.
Leadership Page -
This is a listing of the officers and committee leaders. Each position contains a chair and co-chair, with an optional second co-chair. The mission of the postion/committee is stated in an attractive box with the names and images of the chairs and co-chairs. Clicking on the image of any leader will take the viewer to the member's page. The Leadership Page is administered in the backend via a plugin on the dashboard menu.
Calendar Page -
The categories (with colors) are setup in the admin panel and are quite flexible. For events with addresses, it provides a map link. It allows for event contact information and web links. It allows options of advising of disability accesses and registration requirements. This is the most fun and best calendar on the market. It does not yet support recurring events. Will update when it does.
Other items -
There is an optional Facebook page link in the Sidebar. Other items can be installed to your direction in the Sidebar. Reasonable styling changes to meet your approval are included. Graphic arts will be additional. It is your choice whether to keep the dog in the footer.
Awards are displayed on the Member Ads Page and in the company info box on the member's individual page.
The Admin Section -
This is a Wordpress platform website, with the usual Wordpress backend admin. So, admin login is the same as most Wordpress templates. The members are entered as Wordpress users with expanded data input to include company information.
The leaders' data is controlled by a plugin developed by Cougar Gulch. Access to this plugin features is located in the Dashboard sidebar menu. When accessing this plugin, there are three choices: 1) Manage position names, position descriptions and position display order. 2) Manage position chairs and members who occupy them. 3) Manage documents, photos and ads - the admins control member images, company ad images, award images and members' promotional flyers.
We are in the process of writing a manual for the admin section.
